The cost of registering your business in the UK is rising from 1 May 2024
The cost of incorporating your business in the UK will increase from May 1, 2024, as announced by Companies House earlier in the year. It will affect the incorporation and registration of all kinds of UK companies. The basic cost of incorporating a company will rise to £50 from the current £12 being charged.
There will also be new fees being charged for setting up overseas entities (£234), change of name (£20 for paper or £33 for digital), voluntary strike-off (£44 for paper or £33 for digital), and other incorporations services being rendered by Companies House. The fees charged by Companies House are to cover the cost of services delivered.
A complete list of the new fees is contained here.
